Construction Accounting Associate

JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Objective
Manage and process accounts payable, accounts receivable and invoicing for HySafe.
Be the “Go-to” person for HySafe’s daily accounting needs.
What you will do:

1. Review and enter accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
2. Invoice clients.
3. Send collection reminder notices.
4. Maintain the accuracy of records in Sage accounting software.
5. Enter new vendor/customer information and update as needed.
6. Process/record credit card receipts and expense reports.
7. GL account reconciliations.
8. Monthly job costing.
9. Order certificates of insurance for new projects.
10. Send out weekly reports.
11. Collaborate with all other departments.
12. Support the efforts of operations.
13. Maintain orderly files.
14. Other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific Needs: Ability to climb stairs; extensive computer usage; extensive phone usage; ability to lift and carry 25 lbs.; office machines usage.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and typical work hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Two years of accounting experience.
3. Accounts payable and receivable experience.
4. Microsoft Office experience.
5. Accounting Software
